Exchanged." Died in service.

Anderson, John - Private. Appears on a regimental return for Sept 1862, as transferred from 10th Battn. Ga Inf Sept 1 1862, but name does not appear on rolls of said battalion. Admitted to General Hospital #9 at Richmond Va July 13 1863. Rolls of U.S.A. General Hospital at Chattamooga Tenn bear remark: "Feb 1 1864, Field Hospital." No later record.

Taylor, John Mathison - Private 1862. Pension records show he was at home on sick furlough close of war.

Thomas, A. - Private. Captured at Green Castle Pa July 5 1863. "Appears to have been sent to Point Lookout Md Oct 20 1863." No later record.

Walker, John W. - Enlisted as a private in Co G, 10th Regt. Ga State Troops Dec 16 1861. Mustered out May 1862. Enlisted as a private in Co H, 59th Regt. Ga Inf May 6 1862. Wounded and captured at Gettysburg Pa July 2 1863. Paroled at DeCamp General Hospital, David's Island, N.Y. Harbour in 1863. Exchanged at City Point Va Sept 8 1863. Wounded and disbled at Wilderness Va May 6 1864. Roll for Feb 1865, last on file, shows him absent, sick. Paroled at Albany Ga May 16 1865.

Walker, Thomas J. - Private May 6 1862. Died in Richmond Va hospital Nov 1 1862.

Waller, John D. - Private May 6 1862. Wounded in 1864. Died from wounds in Culpeper Va hospital Nov 1 1864. Buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond Va.

Walton, William H.H. - Private May 6 1862. Wounded in finger of left, necessitating amputation, at Wilderness Va May 6 1864. Surrendered Appomattox Va Apr 9 1865. (Born Morgan Co Ga Jan 29 1846; died Athens Ga Apr 12 1920)

Wardsworth(or Wadsworth),J.G. - Private May 6 1862. Surrendered Apr 9 1865 Appomattox Va. (Born Stewart Co Ga 1833.)

Ware, Archibald - Enlisted as a private in Co G, 10th Regt. Ga State Troops Dec 16 1861. Mustered out May 1862. Enlisted as a private in Co H, 59th Regt. Ga Inf May 6 1862. Captured at Wilderness Va May 6 1864. Took oath of allegiance to U.S. Govt. and enlisted in U.S. Service at Pt Lookout Md June 1 1864.

Warren, James C. - Private May 6 1862. Captured at Knoxville Tenn Dec 3 1863. Died at Rock Island Illinois Feb 28 1864. Grave #644, south of prison barracks.

Warren, Terrell R. - Private May 6 1862.Wounded & captured in 1863. Rolls fro Oct 1863 - Feb 1865 show him absent, wounded and a prisoner of war. No later record.

Watson, Benjamin B. - Private May 6 1862. Appointed Corporal. Wounded through hips, spine injured, permanently disabled and captured at Gettysburg Pa July 3 1863. Paroled at DeCamp General Hospital, David's Island, N.Y. Harbor in 1863. Exchanged at City Point Va Sept 8 1863. At home on wounded furlough close of war. (Born in Marion Co Aug 24 1829; died there Feb 15 1915.)

Watts, M. B. - Enlisted as a private in Co G, 10th Regt. Ga State Troops Dec 16 1861. Mustered out May 1862. Enlisted as a private in Co H, 59th Regt. Ga Inf May 6 1862. Transferred to Co I, 17th Regt. Ga Inf in exchange for John A. Shierling, Jr., Feb 24 1863. Transferred to Co I, 2nd Regt. Ga Inf March 1 1863. (Not found on any 2nd Ga organization.)

Welch, J.F. - Private May 6 1862. "Badly ruptured in service." (Born in Ga June 26 1838.)

Welch, James A. - Private May 6 1862. Rolls from Aug 31 1862 to Oct 1864 show him present. Pension records show he was ruptured by heavy lifting. Discharged at Macon Ga Jan 1865. (Born in Ga Jan 20 1834.)

Welch, John M. - Private May 6 1862. Captured at Wilderness Va May 6 2864. Paroled at Pt Lookout Md Sept 1864. Released at Varina Va Sept 22 1864. Roll for Feb 1885, last on file, shows him absent without leave. Pension records show he was in prison at the close of war. (Born in Marion Co in 1842 & died there Sept 2 1923; buried at Corinth Cemetery)

Welch, William H. - Private May 6 1862. Surrendered Apr 9 1865 at Appomattox Va. (Born n Marion Co Ga Jan 29 1840 and died there Nov 1919.)

Wiggins, Alex G. - Enlisted as a private in Co G 10th Regt Fa State Troops Dec 16 1861. Mustered out May 1862. Enlisted as a private in Co H 59th Regt Ga Inf in 1862. Discharged on disability Jan 11 1863 at Richmond, Va.

Williams, William - Enlisted as a private in Co H, 7th Regt. Ga State Troops Dec 25 1861. Mustered out Apr 29 1862. Enlisted as a private in Co H, 59th Regt. Ga Inf in 1862. Appears only on a regimental return for Dec 1862 as a teamster. No later record.

Woodruff, William H. - Private Aug 14 1862. Transferred to Co I, 17th Regt. Ga Inf in exchange for Robert F. Shierling, Feb 24 1863. Wounded at Wilderness Va May 6 1864. Appointed 3rd Sergeant July 1864. Surrendered Appomattox Va Apr 9 1865. (Born Ga 1844.)

Woods, A. Jack - Private May 6 1862. Apptd 1st Sergt. July 11 1862. Killed July 2 1863 at Gettysburg.
